School is off to a great start. The new PE shirts have been distributed and students are finding their way around the school, greeting old friends and meeting new friends. We are still working on our schedule and may need to change some student schedules. We hope to have all the changes done by September 10th. If you have any questions, you can contact me at Laurie_Mason@crpusd.org.

Also, again many thanks to our PTSO for their generous contribution of providing every LJMS student their first official shirt for Physical Education class. If you need financial assistance to purchase PE clothes, please contact your child's school counselor. If you wish to purchase new LJMS PE clothes, you can go online to http://www.crpclothes.com/ to place your order.
Traffic before and after school
I appreciate everyone's patience as we all figure out the traffic issue before and after school. I see more parents carpooling, dropping off students around 7:55 am, and picking up their students closer to 3:00 pm, all of which has helped lessen the parking lot traffic jam. We do need to remind parents of a few things that will keep traffic flowing.
Pledge-a-thon
Next meeting:The next meeting is on Tuesday, September 7th at 6 pm in the MU.
Save the date! The fall Pledge-a-thon is October 15. Many thanks to Ken Zschach for taking on the responsibilities of the Pledge-a-thon (PAT) chair. The money raised through the PAT will be used to support students and teachers by providing materials and equipment to augment the great things that happen in our classrooms as well as school-wide activities. If you would like to be a part of the planning, you can contact Ken at kzschach@comcast.net. .We can use your help in the planning process as we many jobs to fill. This year's Pledge-a-thon will be our first school wide event as Lawrence Jones Middle School. Please join us.
